Some time ago I came across a website Not Fooling Anybody which describes itself as "a chronicle of bad conversions and storefronts past." I was recently reminded of this when seeing a few gems in the neighborhood.
The first is what obviously (IMHO) was a Kentucky Fried Chicken and now continues to exist as a convenience store. They removed the little cupola off the roof, but the trim and stonework is a giveaway. There is an existing KFC in town that looks just like it.
The second building used to be a Dairy Queen (note the steep red roof). I Hope Gaston is doing a good business with his used car sales.
To see more like this, head over to Not Fooling Anybody. I sent these two there, so oficially declare myself a NFA Ranger.
