Yet another oddity found on the web. An article at dailypress.com talks about a new "plasma pencil" that kills germs and could be used to remove dental bacteria!

From the article:

The pencil generates a "cold plasma," which can be used to kill germs that contaminate surfaces, infect wounds and rot your teeth.

When he turns the pencil on, it blows a high pitched whistle as a glowing, blue-violet beam about 2 inches long instantly appears at one end. Stick your finger in its path and you only feel a cool breeze, but the beam is powerful enough to blast apart bacteria that's crawling on your skin.

Now all I have is a mental image of someone brushing their teeth with a lightsaber...oh, gee...look what I found on google...

Just before writing my Palm Pilot Modbus Master software, I got up to speed using the GCC tools by writing a game, called "Rounder", which I had to change to "RoundAbout" once I realized that there was a Palm program called Rounder out already for tracking medical rounds.

You can still see a web fossil record of the game by googling for roundabout+palm though you can not buy it online anymore through PalmGear I only sold about 30 copies, and then never saw another penny, as a crack was quickly made available, and PalmGear dropped their "small" sales clients.

So I'll give it away to you, my loyal readers!
