My wife and I went to the Blue Man Group in Toronto last night. It was a birthday present for her. Not realy knowing what to expect, we had a positively brilliant time! We were unable to go see them in Las Vegas, and the last time I was in Chicago, there was no time either, so when I found out they were starting an open-ended run in Toronto, I absolutely had to buy tickets.
They just opened this week, so it was tight getting the tickets. I settled on a 7:00 show, figuring we could grab a bite afterwords.
The venue, the Panasonic Theater, renovated specifically for the
performance, is finished in a techo-conrete look that complemented the
performance quite well.
One word - excellent - is what I must use to describe the show. I admit a bias towards percussion, though, as I spent a large portion of my youth behind a side-drum in the Regina Lions Junior Band.
Go see it. We had an absolute blast!
(After the concert, we grabbed a bite at Zyng's an Aisian chain that is adequate and quick. I had their version of Singapore Noodles, which was not nearly as good as what I get from Hua Sang Seafood, on Baldwin Street.)
