Heading up to our friends' cottage is a New Year's tradition that we (at the last minute) managed to do again this year. We brought a visitor with us, too, Travel Bug TM04.

Heading out on Dec 30th (an absolutely beautiful day, I might add) we managed to hit four different caches, and dropped our friend the travel bug in the first. I hoped he would spend New Year's Eve there, but it looks like he is off and on his way again.

The dam and boat lock were a delight to see in the winter, but the dog sure disliked walking on the extruded metal walkway.

The next one involved a jump over the creek that the kids barely made, and my wife left the pooch behind as a cold wet dog in the bush would be bad. Didn't see any deer though...

We found it!!!

The last two were quick stops off the highway. No problems getting on or out. Though we did end up unexpectedly taking the fast way down one cliff in the snow, much to our surprise!

And there were lots more in the area that we will be saving for the spring...

Welcome to the addiction! Caching is more enojyable when it's warm, I'll have to agree, but still fun anytime.
